TGIF (2)

TGIF is a really fun feature hosted over at GReads and I'm just loving its questions every single week!

 This week's question is:

Love-Hate Relationship: Which characters from a book do you love to hate?

Believe it or not, I just have only one answer in this question: Professor Snape from Harry Potter!
No matter how much I try to find another character there's noone else for me.Sure, there were other characters, again from the same series that I loved to hate and hated to love like Dudley or Malfoy, but nothing like Professor Snape!I just love this character!Even from the first books I just loved every single snarky comment he made and the fact that he was portrayed by Alan Rickman just made me love him even more...!

So,which character do you love to hate?

Review: Desires of the Dead

  1. Ooh good choice - he was positively awful!

  2. I liked that Snape didn't give Harry special treatment - it was nice to see someone not put Harry on a pedestal, just because he survived an attack from Voldemort. I sure did hate him as the series went on though! (Even though he later redeemed himself...mostly)

    My TGIF

  3. Great pick! His love for Harry's mother made my heart break. Tear :(

  4. I'm just now discovering the amazingness of Snape. And I totally get what you mean.

  5. Yes Yes Yes! I didn't include Snape in my post, but I completely agree. He's one of my favorite characters in the whole series. Aaaaaand now I want to re-read them all. Again.

Alan Rickman was PERFECT as Snape. So perfect.

  6. I am with you! I love to hate Snape. He is such a well-developed character with such a dislike for Harry that he made me so mad when I read most of the books in the series. JK Rowling did a great job making the reader hate him- and then we find out pieces of the puzzle that we didn't know that make us like him, but still hate him, too!

  7. Oh, I love your answer for TGIF--I love/hate Snape. With the possible exception fo Dumbledore, I think he's the most interesting character JKR has written. Tortured/nuanced/complicated. He's fantastic :D

And OH.MY.GOODNESS, could Alan Rickman BE any more perfect?
