Waiting on Wednesday: The Last Echo

"Waiting On Wednesday" is a weekly event, hosted at Breaking the Spine, that spotlights upcoming releases that we're eagerly anticipating.

My selection for this week is:

The Last Echo by Kimberly Derting
Publication Date: April 17th 2012
Publisher: HarperCollins

Summary from Goodreads:
Violet kept her morbid ability to sense dead bodies a secret from everyone except her family and her childhood-best-friend-turned-boyfriend, Jay Heaton. That is until forensic psychologist Sara Priest discovered Violet's talent and invited her to use her gift to track down murderers. Now, as she works with an eclectic group of individuals—including mysterious and dangerously attractive Rafe—it's Violet's job to help those who have been murdered by bringing their killers to justice. When Violet discovers the body of a college girl killed by "the girlfriend collector" she is determined to solve the case. But now the serial killer is on the lookout for a new "relationship" and Violet may have caught his eye....
What I think:
I simply love Kimberly Derting's work, and her Body Finder series is among my favorite YA series. Considering the events that unfolded at the previous book, Desires of the Dead, I have even more reasons to wait anxiously to read this one. I just sincerely hope that the possible love triangle won't happen... I don't think I'll like it.

  2. I haven't read the BODY FINDER series yet, but considering all the amazing reviews, I should definitely change that as soon as possible. Awesome pick! I hope you'll enjoy it once you get to read it. :)

    1. I keep seeing these too and say, hmmm I need to get to those. Have you read Charlaine Harris's Harper Connelly series? It seems the same idea, and I really liked those.

      Nice pick!
