Half Summer faery princess, half human, Meghan has never fit in anywhere. Deserted by the Winter prince she thought loved her, she is prisoner to the Winter faery queen. As war looms between Summer and Winter, Meghan knows that the real danger comes from the Iron fey—ironbound faeries that only she and her absent prince have seen. But no one believes her.

Worse, Meghan's own fey powers have been cut off. She's stuck in Faery with only her wits for help. Trusting anyone would be foolish. Trusting a seeming traitor could be deadly. But even as she grows a backbone of iron, Meghan can't help but hear the whispers of longing in her all-too-human heart.

Iron Daughter is plainly fantastic!Julie Kagawa just continues to amaze me with her wonderful writing style and her beautifully written story. The second installment of the Iron Fey series just grabs the reader's interest and you can't think of anything else until the book reaches its end!

The Iron Daughter is as much action packed and thrilling as The Iron King but this one,is even more emotionally intense, making me feel the heroes feelings and sympathise with them.I loved Ash!Every single aspect of him!And Puck in this book gets so much more interesting...!I knew from book one, scratch that,I knew before I even got this book in my hands that Ash and Puck would form the love triangle along with Meghan, but in the first book,Puck was nothing more than Meghan's best friend who was just really fond of her.Granted, there was a subtle romantic feeling in the way he treated Meghan but nothing too obvious...All that though in this book changes and Puck shows his true self, one I really enjoyed almost as much as Ash's if not more!Cause Puck is that gorgeous guy with the mischievous glint in his eyes ready to do anything anytime! And I loved him for that!
Meghan on the other hand,is the same sweet girl as in the first book, only now she slowly develops further as a character through all those things that keep happening to her.

In this book,we get to know more details about both the Summer and Winter court and the rules they live under. Kagawa's world is well built and smartly written and the pace of this book is so fast that the reader feels never bored.Add to that the existence of some well built and fascinating side characters and the result is a book you can't possibly put down. From Leananside to Grimalkin to Ironhorse,Kagawa can write each of her characters with equal care and give them a life of their own.

Plus, the romance in this book is Amazing!True,it was obvious that Ash and Meghan would be together, and I always find myself more interested in how the romance will bloom between the protagonists rather than its continuation, but in this case,I just couldn't get enough!

All in all,The Iron Daughter is as amazing and well written as the first book in this series and then some more.To anyone who has yet to read the first book,I totally recommend it!It really worths your time!

  2. I love Ash too. I love is strong and silent broodiness. Puck is great comic relief too. I'm glad we got to learn a little bit more about him in this novel.
