Thriller 3: Love is Murder by Sandra Brown (editor)
Publication Date:May 29th 2012
Publisher:Mira
This is a really good anthology! I'm not a really huge fan of anthologies, cause in most cases the weak stories are far more than the good ones but Thriller is a really good collection of short stories, especially if you take into consideration the fact that we are talking about something like 30 authors whose work is featured in this collection. That's really impressive to say the least!
Sandra Brown picked the authors and the stories that are featured in Thriller with great care and she presents a really unique anthology, with authors that represent many different genres and a collection of stories that cover a wide range within the romantic suspense genre.
We have mercenaries, bodyguards, cops, thieves, humans or paranormal creatures, everything one might want to find in a romantic suspense title is here. So, you are bound to find at least one story that you will like. But believe me, there are more!
Granted, I didn't like all the stories, neither were all 5 star. But there are some really great ones and all in one book! My favorite were by far those written by Sherrilyn Kenyon, Roxanne St Claire, Laura Griffin and William Simon. There were others I really liked as well and some I didn't really care but as far as anthologies go, Thriller is a well thought one.
I have to note here, that some stories were part of a series of books I wasn't acquainted with and I had some difficulty following them that resulted to not liking them in the end. But, on the other hand, I was introduced to a set of authors whose work I wasn't familiar with and I will definitely check them out from now on!
All in all, Thriller, is a well planed and impressive anthology that fans of romantic suspense should not miss.
