Welcome to Day 4 of Let it Snow Books 2012, where for the next three weeks you have the chance to read some really fun holiday posts from some of your favorite authors, both here and at Ex Libris.
Today, we welcome author Julie James here at Books to Brighten your Mood with a festive post and you will have the chance to win a copy of About that Night. Julie's Books are always a joy to read and each and everyone of her stories is plainly amazing! Naturally, About that Night is no exception!
You can read my review to understand why!
Julie James works her miracles once more! Seriously, she's one of my favorite contemporary romance authors out there and every single book of hers is a joy to read! To put is simply, I just know that... Read the rest of the review here.
Since this whole event is about the Best Books we read in 2012, could you share with us some of your favorite titles you read this year?
Julie: I read a lot of great books this year, but I think the one that had me most glued to the pages was Gone Girl by Gillian Flynn. Dark and twisty, with characters that were absolutely fascinating to read about.
What's your favorite thing about the holidays?
Julie: Spending time with my family. Putting up the Christmas tree, going to see Santa (I have two young kids), reading holiday stories, making cookies--all of it, really!
Christmas/the holidays wouldn't be the real deal without…
Julie: There are three movies my husband and I watch every year: Christmas Story, Christmas Vacation, and Love, Actually.
What would you ask Santa to bring you this year?
Julie: I'm a shoe girl. A cute pair of heels is always appreciated. : )
Thank you Julie for stopping by here today and Happy Holidays!

He's Playing Games
Though Rylann Pierce tried to fight the sparks she felt for billionaire heir Kyle Rhodes the night they met, their sizzling chemistry was undeniable. But after being stood up on their first date, Rylann never expected to see him again. So when she finds herself face-to-face with Kyle in a courthouse nine years later, she's stunned. More troubling to the beautiful assistant U.S. attorney is that she's still wildly attracted to him.
But She's Making The Rules
Just released from prison, Kyle Rhodes isn't thrilled to be the star witness in a high-profile criminal case—but when Rylann comes knocking at his door, he finds she may be the one lawyer he can't say no to. Still as gorgeous and sharp-tongued as ever, she lays down the law: she doesn't mix business with pleasure. But Kyle won't give up on something he wants—and what he wants is the one woman he's never forgotten.

There are five movies we have to watch each year...Miracle on 34th Street (we watch the original and the remake) Joyeux Noel (its about Christmas in 1914 and how the war stopped for two days while the men on both sides celebrated Christmas) White Christmas (because HELLO it's Bing Crosby)
ReplyDeleteMickey's Christmas Carol & Muppets Christmas Carol (these were the first holiday movies we introduced our kids to when they were infants and are part of our childhoods, even though they came out when we were teens) Charlie Brown's Christmas (because lets be honest it's NOT Christmas without Charlie Brown) Rudolph (the original claymation version we all grew up watching) It's a Wonderful Life (once again because it's not Christmas with George Bailey) and finally the LDS church put a short Christmas movie several years ago that they were giving out to anyone who wanted it called Joy to World, as I have special needs children we watched this instead of reading the Christmas story so that our youngest son would be able to understand and sit still for the story.
Ok there was more than 5 more like 9 and I forgot one at that :D
