"Waiting On Wednesday" is a weekly event, hosted at Breaking the Spine, that spotlights upcoming releases that we're eagerly anticipating.
My selection for this week is:
Pure by AJennifer Armentrout
Publication Date: April 3rd 2012
Publisher: Spencer Hill Press
Summary from Goodreads:
There is need. And then there is Fate...
Being destined to become some kind of supernatural electrical outlet isn't exactly awesome--especially when Alexandria's "other half" is everywhere she goes. Seth's in her training room, outside her classes, and keeps showing up in her bedroom--so not cool. Their connection does have some benefits, like staving off her nightmares of the tragic showdown with her mother, but it has no effect on what Alex feels for the forbidden, pure-blooded Aiden. Or what he will do--and sacrifice--for her.
When daimons infiltrate the Covenants and attack students, the gods send furies--lesser gods determined to eradicate any threat to the Covenants and to the gods, and that includes the Apollyon... and Alex. And if that and hordes of aether-sucking monsters didn't blow bad enough, a mysterious threat seems willing to do anything to neutralize Seth, even if that means forcing Alex into servitude... or killing her.
When the gods are involved, some decisions can never, ever be undone.

What I think:
Half Blood was one of my favorite YA series of 2011 and Pure one of my most anticipated publications of this year! To anyone who has read Half Blood the reasons are apparent! Jennifer Armentrout is an amazing writer and her books are always a fascinating surprise! Can't wait for this one!
Hey Anna,
ReplyDeleteI still need to write my review for this and post it. Perhaps this weekend, I can write it. So behind!;)
Hope your doing well, if I wasn't so exhausted I woke email you now but it's 2:30 am and I'm exhausted. Catch up tomorrow!;) XO
P.s. When are you reading CM?
Don't know, I'm thinking of postpoining it a bit to leave less time waiting between CM and then next release...!
DeleteI haven't read anything by this author but most of my friends love her so I'm sure it's going to be a fantastic read :)
